Valsts meža dienests informē, ka sakarā ar funkcionālo un strukturālo optimizāciju, ar 2012. gada 1. janvāri izmainīsies Valsts meža dienesta darba organizācijas kārtība un virsmežniecību uzraugāmo teritoriju robežas.
Sākot ar 2012. gada sākumu, Valsts meža dienests meža īpašniekus gaidīs 29 birojos – apmeklētāju pieņemšanas vietās, kas pamatā izvietotas kādreizējo rajonu centros, kur jau ir izveidojusies cilvēku plūsma un atrodas arī citas iestādes.
Valsts meža dienesta biroji atradīsies – Aizkrauklē, Alūksnē, Babītē, Bauskā, Balvos, Cēsīs, Daugavpilī, Dobelē, Grobiņā, Gulbenē, Inčukalnā, Jelgavā, Jēkabpilī, Krāslavā, Kuldīgā, Limbažos, Ludzā, Madonā, Ogrē, Preiļos, Rēzeknē, Rīgā, Saldū, Smiltenē, Talsos, Tukumā, Ventspilī, Valkā, Valmierā.
Būtiski ir tas, ka jebkurā Valsts meža dienesta birojā ar iesniegumiem varēs vērsties jebkura juridiska vai fiziska persona, jebkurš meža īpašnieks, neatkarīgi no savas juridiskās adreses vai meža īpašuma atrašanās vietas un būs iespējams norādīt kurā vietā ērtāk saņemt atbildi – šajā birojā, citā birojā, ar vēstules starpniecību vai e-pastā.
